Hey guys,
Welcome to Term 2 of your favourite university political society! We have a full schedule of great events, socials and campaigns for this term, so make sure you like our Facebook page and, if you haven’t done so, join us through the Warwick SU website to keep up to date with everything we’re up to.
For this week’s inaugural Lefty Lattes of the term we’re talking about the bomb. The nuclear bomb, to be more precise.
With government cuts continuing to bite, has the time arrived to scrap our nuclear deterrent, as we suggested in 1983? Or should we continue to invest in this weapon technology?
How should the global political community strive for multi-lateral nuclear disarmament? Or should we ensure states still retain nuclear capabilities?
There’s a whole host of issues present in this contentious topic, so turn up and have your voice heard!
As per usual, meet on Thursday at 5pm on the Piazza.
Following the discussion we’ll have a relaxed “welcome back” social in the Duck or elsewhere to catch up and discuss our plans for this term.
Look forward to seeing you soon!
