I can’t believe I’m writing these words, but welcome to the WEEK 10 email! Before we all depart to our seperate parts of this green and pleasant land, Warwick Labour has a couple of great events lined up for this final week.
Tomorrow afternoon we’re having our introductory session of the society’s new Campaigns’ Forum. This is a brand new initiative to campaign for progressive issues on campus, which anybody can get involved in. There’s more info on the Facebook page here: http://on.fb.me/uTXw1N. That’s tomorrow afternoon at 4:00 in H1.48.
Secondly, on Thursday evening Warwick Labour proudly presents Jon Cruddas MP: the guest speaker for our inaugural Christmas lecture. The Labour MP for Dagenham and Rainham will be talking about a manner of issues, no doubt reflecting on his successful campaigns against the BNP and his time as an aide to former Prime Minister, Tony Blair. There will be free refreshments of a festive nature, so please do come along! That’s Thursday evening at 7:00 in MS.B303 (exec members will be in the Maths & Stats foyer to direct anybody who feels a little lost). More info here: http://on.fb.me/uDBWsB
Finally, after the Christmas lecture we will be heading for our Christmas meal – because Warwick Labour is just that festive and jolly. The plan at the moment is Xananas, however this is subject to change: any suggestions welcome!
We look forward to seeing you this week! And, of course, a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and a Non-Discriminatory Winterval.
